About The Author
My name is Misty Gayle (Combs) Blankenship. I am a Mother of five children, a stepmother of one stepdaughter and the wife of Orville Lee Blankenship. Born in 1977 to Judy and Anderson Combs, I was raised in a small town called Jackson, Kentucky. I now live in Pike County Kentucky, where I have resided with my husband and our children for the past 14 years.
Coming from a large family myself, me and

my siblings spent a great deal of our time in

the mountains growing up. Seeing the

surrounding beauty before us and enjoying

it as a family made me realize precious

times needed to be remembered, not forgotten

and one way to remember them for a

lifetime is by capturing them on camera.
I have had a great love for photography for most of my life and enjoy capturing lifes precious moments whether it be in nature and wildlife, landscapes, or family and children portraits. My way of seeing life is through the lens!
With this in mind, I started out with disposable film cameras and poloroids at a very young age, it wasn't until age 37 I realized I needed to further my education in the photography field and follow my dreams.
I begin my schooling through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2014 to earn my Associates of Science degree in Digital Photography and further my knowledge in the photography field. Since then I have learned to capture lifes precious moments in ways I never knew were possible.
I currently own my own studio equipment and will travel to several different areas within Kentucky or surrounding states for on location shoots. I am expereinced with both studio and natural lighting and can work almost any DSLR camera with ease in every mode setting.
I have experience in working with newborns,

children and families as well as capturing

weddings and the beauty of nature and

wildlife. I also have experience in
software such as Microsoft Office,
Powerpoint, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe
I want every client to feel comfortable and relaxed while posed in front of my camera, so with this in mind, I treat them as if they are my own family and offer a 100%  satisfaction quarantee on my photography work!
